Practically, there is no file size limit for Windows where MTP is supported natively by the OS (I suppose it would be similar for Linux as well). However, the 4-GB limit exists for Mac OS (no native support for MTP). There are some workarounds, but you cannot just use USB cable to transfer files larger than 4 GB.

1. Shrink the file size down (re-export the video in a different format) 2. Split the video up into multiple smaller pieces (can make use of the Android Main + Patch OBB file, 2GB each) 3. Host the video file online and have your application download it the first time it launches and save it to disk (would mean you have to host the file and pay
1. Copy and Paste Large Files to Another Hard Drive. Step 1. Open Windows File Explorer. Step 2. Move to the drive and choose the large files you want to move. (Games, unwanted programs)Right-click folders or files, and select "Copy". Step 3. Then, choose another drive you want to store large files.
Just had a thought these aren't HD files you have tried to copy before are they. They have a copy once setting which is set when you try to start copying. Even if you abort the copy the no copy flag is set. Last edited: Dec 20, 2010. Humax Foxsat-hdr, Humax HDR1000S, 2x HDR-FOX T2, Sony STRDN1050 receiver, Sony KDL-40W4000 TV.
However, sometimes, some channels suddenly upload like an hour long videos that I do not need or don't have the storage for it. Would be helpful if there is a way to set file sizes for auto downloads. Like a confirmation window to ask if it is okay to download the video that is >500MB.
4 GB The exFAT format allows individual files larger than 4 GB, facilitating long continuous recording of HD video which can exceed the 4 GB limit in less than an hour. Current digital cameras using FAT32 will break the video files into multiple segments of approximately 2 or 4 GB.
If the USB stick is formatted as FAT32, the maximum file size is limited to 4,294,967,295 bytes (~4 GB). This limit is a consequence of the file length entry in the directory table and would also affect huge FAT32 partitions with a sufficient sector size. If so, try to format USB thumb with exFAT it will increase the maximum file size to 16 EiB
NTFS is a better format, and will achieve what you need. There are utilities out there that will format fat32 larger than 4gb if you need fat32 for some reason. If using Windows, format it as NTFS and if it's for Linux, ext3. Never use FAT variants for USB drives if you can avoid it, as ext2/3/4 are supported across BSD, Linux, and Windows (via
