Life is Strange has more choice imo than a TellTale game. Lots of smaller personal choices help build the Universe and story. But I guess, like a TellTale game the story is still determined, so you could but it wouldn't be the same/as good. But for the story itself you could.
When Life is Strange is at its most interesting is not when it's exploring the concept of free will versus determinism or when it's talking multiverse theories and getting tangled in its own logic.
